Friday, Feb. 20, 2004 - 10:25 a.m.

This has been a super long week. It seems like forever since I was at home relaxing. I thought Friday would never come. But actually, I still have a whole lot to do today, but tomorrow I get to slow down for a few hours. That I will love.

On Wednesday night I went to dinner with a friend of mine that I have hardly seen since coming back to school, and that was so great.

We actually stayed talking until they closed. We had a lOT to catch up on! I guess more can happen in 6 months than you realize.

Lydwin called while we were at the restaurant, but we only got to talk for a couple of seconds. He was borrowing his new roommate's cell, and it was about to die. But he's alive and well, and sounds like he's even having a good time, so that great news!

He called again last night, and he explained to me better than he was able to the night before, that his training is being put off for a couple of weeks, so he is basically being used, along with the other guys who will be training for the same military career, to clean and do little random things around the base. But they are also getting a lot of free time, so that's cool. But I'm bummed about this, becuase this means that it puts the day that I'll be able to see him again next further and further away :(

Welcome to military life I guess.

Well, Amber and I are off to a new adventure today. We'll see how it goes.
